Privacy Policy
This policy explains what BashCoders collects through the website, how we use it, and how analytics tracking works on the public site.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you submit through our forms, including your name, email address, message, company information, project details, budget range, preferred date, and related quote request details.
If you allow analytics, we also collect website usage data such as visited pages, approximate country/region/city, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, bot classification, and a hashed representation of your IP address.
If you decline analytics, we still record anonymous daily traffic totals and bot-versus-human counts so we can understand overall traffic volume without creating a visitor profile or page-by-page history.
How We Use Information
We use inquiry and quote data to respond to you, prepare project discussions, and manage follow-up activity inside our internal dashboard.
We use analytics data to understand page traffic, identify popular content, review traffic quality, and improve website performance and content decisions.
We use anonymous pre-consent traffic totals to understand overall demand and basic traffic quality without tying those counts to an identifiable visitor profile.
Cookies and Tracking
We use a consent-based analytics cookie for detailed visitor tracking. Analytics tracking is only enabled after you accept it through our cookie banner.
If analytics is enabled, we assign a visitor identifier cookie so we can associate page visits with the same browser over time. If you decline analytics, that tracking cookie is not created and we do not create a detailed visitor profile.
What We Store in Analytics
When analytics is enabled, our analytics records may include the page path, visit timestamp, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, approximate location derived from request headers, and whether the traffic appears to be automated.
If analytics is declined, we keep only anonymous aggregate daily traffic counts and bot-versus-human totals. We do not store a visitor cookie, a visitor identifier, or page-by-page history in that mode.
We do not store the plain IP address in our analytics tables. We store a one-way hash of the IP address for internal traffic analysis and abuse review only after analytics consent is granted.
Sharing and Service Providers
We use infrastructure and software providers to operate the website and dashboard, including Next.js hosting/runtime services and Supabase for database storage.
If Google Analytics is enabled through your consent choice, browser usage data is also processed by Google Analytics.
Retention
We keep form submissions and dashboard records for operational follow-up and business records until they are no longer needed or are manually removed.
We keep visitor analytics records until they are manually deleted or our retention practices are updated. We recommend reviewing and minimizing analytics retention on a regular basis.
Your Choices
You can decline analytics tracking from the cookie banner. If you previously accepted tracking, you can clear your browser cookies to remove the stored analytics preference and visitor identifier.
If you want us to review or delete information you submitted through our forms, contact us at contact@bashcoders.com.
